About Research Development
What is the Research Development (RD) team?
We are UC San Diego’s central research-development unit, housed within the Office of Research and Innovation. Founded in 2008 as the Research Development Proposal Service, the recently renamed Research Development (RD) team helps PIs and their teams find and pursue funding opportunities, collaborate effectively, produce compelling proposals, and compete more successfully for research funding.
RD also manages the campus-wide process for limited-submission funding opportunities.
