Karen Gutierrez

Limited submissions; Special projects

Karen joined RD as project coordinator in 2022 to provide the team support on funding-opportunity distributions, limited-submission committee coordination, internal programs, reporting, and special projects. Prior to joining RD, Karen was a Sea Grant State Fellow with the Delta Stewardship Council’s Science Program, where she focused on science communications and stakeholder outreach. She is also a UC San Diego alum, where she earned a B.S. and M.S. in Earth Sciences.
