I-Hsun works in close collaboration with faculty and researchers to design compelling, visually appealing imagery to attract attention and potential funding to facilitate research. Her primary goal is to clarify and represent complex ideas from scientific research into accurate, educational and inspirational visuals through her artistic expertise. Before joined the RD team in 2020, I-Hsun was a scientific and medical illustrator for the Institute for Cell Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her artworks have been exhibited in several exhibitions and won salon awards. Her works have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Cell and Science. I-Hsun received an M.A. in Biological and Medical Illustration from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a B.F.A in Communication Arts: Scientific and Preparatory Medical Illustration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a board-certified medical illustrator.
